The YMIR is a complete clean-sheet design developed from the ground up to deliver reference-level performance in a human-scale form. Designed for consistent behavior in real listening rooms, the YMIR balances dynamics, tonal accuracy, and usability while maintaining a visual design that reflects both its acoustic and structural purpose. Rather than evolving an existing platform, Ø Audio developed the YMIR from a blank-sheet approach, creating an entirely new loudspeaker architecture centered around controlled directivity, low distortion, and seamless driver integration. -

From day one, our idea has been to bring about what has been missing in our audio listening experience. What we found to be missing is exactly what we have incorporated into our designs. Over the years, we have realized that the evolution of a loudspeaker has been limited by the acoustic contributions of the enclosure in which it is contained. Rather than combat these unwanted sonics inherent to traditional boxed speaker designs, we have chosen to eliminate the problem entirely. While the open baffle speaker is not a new concept, today's technology, combined with advancements in design and materials, has allowed us to focus on what we believe is the true evolution of this design. -
The LS1c is the flagship of our LS1 active loudspeaker series. It is named after the revolutionary TPCD Carbon Composite tweeter that we developed in cooperation with driver manufacturer Seas. Even more important is that we rebuilt all elements of the LS1 design from the ground up: the electronics with latest generation amplifiers, the audio DSP code, the computer aided calibration method, the firmware and the PC/Mac software that controls the entire system. To pick just one example, with the knowledge we gained from developing the MU1 and MU2 FPGA Pure Nyquist filters, we were able to dramatically improve the crossover phase correction filters of the LS1c’s DSP. -
The SB1 with ‘DMF’ is a technological marvel. By applying ‘Digital Motional Feedback’, a control technology from the renowned Dutch high-tech industry, it became possible to achieve exceptionally low levels of distortion and full dynamic control. With an SB1 added for the bass frequencies, the LS1 system offers low distortion over the full audio band and redefines the term ‘transparency’. This is bass control like you’ve never experienced before. -
Amea or Amea D? You have the choice: the Amea comes with a 30 mm ceramic tweeter or optional with a 30 mm diamond tweeter. With our unique VIMBERG crossover technology the ceramic tweeter offers a clarity and openness in the high frequency level rarely heard. And for those who want to have the reference choice we do offer the even more exquisite 30 mm pure diamond tweeter option - and call it Amea D. The architecture of perfect sound. The VIMBERG Amea crossover is second to none in design and effort. Not only the parts and execution quality is exceptional, more important the topology was designed specifically for these drivers in this very construction. All this does correspond into superb off-axis performance, an ultra linear frequency response and incredible timing. Also the drivers are perfectly blended into each other without having any kind of resonance left. And the real kicker: we do manage all this avoiding impedance drops and low efficiency. Like no other. -

The C-Series is equipped with Børresen’s renowned RP94 Ribbon Planar Tweeter, a signature feature of the Børresen brand. With a remarkable efficiency of 94 dB and an ultra-light moving mass of just 0.01 grams, this closed ribbon tweeter is capable of incredible speed and responsiveness. Operating from 2.5 kHz and above, it captures the finest sonic details with precision and is robust enough to handle high transient peaks without distortion.
